Public Health for AHPs: How to make every contact count

The University of Central Lancashire is hosting an afternoon workshop that will focus on maximising public health interventions when AHPs engage with patients.

The session, led by Gillian Rawlinson, will look at key public health issues including obesity, physical activity participation and other health behaviours and explore how AHPs can facilitate improved health behaviours.

The workshop will include exploration of your roles as public health ambassadors and will include communication skills development such as brief interventions and motivational interviewing techniques.

The session takes place on Thursday, 20th October (1.00 - 4.30pm).
