Dr Roddam to lead HEE workshops

CAHPR Cumbria and Lancashire Hub Leader Dr Hazel Roddam will lead a series of workshops on behalf of Health Education England (HEE) about the Integrated Clinical Academic (ICA) Programme.

In addition to providing information about the scheme, Dr Roddam will be collecting feedback, experiences and opinions about the scheme, to assist HEE to consider any other factors that could better support this agenda.

Dr Roddam said: "Many of the case studies we're currently preparing will feature AHPs, which is excellent news.

"We'd like to hear suggestions from people who'd like to share their own experiences, or feed in their comments to us, especially any clinical managers who would be prepared to discuss this scheme.

"Please feel free to share the flyer above or this one with your colleagues - places are free and all the specified non-medical professions are welcome – AHPs, nurses, midwives, health visitors and healthcare scientists."

NHS England launches AHPs into Action

NHS England has officially launched 'AHPs into Action'.

The new resource is aimed at leaders and decision makers to help them understand the transformative potential and role of AHPs within the health, social and wider care system.

It is a vision of how, with collective action, our nation would be different if all AHPs were used effectively.'

'AHPs into Action' describes how AHPs can support the delivery of Sustainability and Transformation Plans (STPs) and the triple aims set out in the Five Year Forward View.

It is a resource to inform and inspire AHPs, leaders and decision makers across the health and care system.

It offers a clear view of the transformative potential of AHPs, 53 examples of innovative AHP practice, including a number from the North West, and a framework to help develop local delivery plans.

You can download and share 'AHPs into Action', and find information on how it was co-produced with patients, carers, the public, and health and care staff including AHPs, on the NHS England website.

You can also join in the conversation on Twitter at #AHPsintoAction.
